If you want to share the info... what does your credit card company allow you to borrow?

I have one card that allows me to borrow up to £15k but the other one I have is significantly lower. Still, that's ample most of the time. Smile

Mine is very small. It's like 1k or 2k.

I just got a new card. I am also opening a new bank account next week, so it's very possible that I will apply for yet another credit card.

I use my cards soley for one thing - I balance transfer the whole lot into a high interest A&L online saver account - whilst the interest free introductory offer is on the table I am earning the interest. It is only an experiment - it is something I picked up from a friend - the purpose is to earn enough interest to go most way to paying my car insurance in November Wink

That's pretty interesting. Seems feasible in theory certainly. Let us know how it goes.

By the way, welcome to the forum.

Yeah, keep us posted... how much should you be able to save in total, do you think?

Hi

At the moment I have £5K in an A+L account, so after tax I should make in the region of £200 I think. That will go a good way towards paying my insurance. I have a card whereby the monthly minimum is only £5, so when I am done I can easily pay the balance off because I never spent it as it sits in my bank account earning passively for me.

I forgot to answer my own question. I have two cards which I use regularly. One has a limit of £18k and the other £2,500.

They're both personal cards, but I use one primarily for business (the one with the larger limit) and the other primarily for personal stuff.

Total my credit limit is $5,800, but that's split up amongst three cards.

My first card that I got was an Chase Visa card, that doesn't pay back any points. It has a credit limit of $700. Usually I put about $200 on it each month.

The second card I got was a Circuit City Card, which I really want to cancel. The only reason I got it was so I could purchase my laptop (which I'm posting with now) without paying interest for 6 months. Since then it's been a total PITA. The idiots won't even let me activate it.

The third card I got, and by far my favorite, is my American Express Blue cash card. I love the benefits, the cash back savings (especially on gas), and it just looks cool.

I don't have the card, but I see the design on the web. It does look cool, and I must admit that I want to have the card just because it looks cool.

Exactly. I almost feel important when I whip it out. Girls are usually impressed. It'll suck if it ever get's declined though.
