Do any of you have credit cards where you earn air miles?
What's a good rate to be earning? 1 mile per £1 spent? 2 miles per £1 spent? 5 miles per £1 spent? _________________ Business Forums - Business Add URL

None of my current credit cards have any mileage reward programs.
One of my old cards had a mileage reward program, and if I remember correctly, I got a mile for every dollar spent. _________________ Online Finance Education :: College Degrees |

I have the AirMiles American Express Card for small business. I earn 1 air mile for every $20 I spend on the card. This is a Canadian card, but I assume the ratios are generally the same.

Maybe I should get one of those reward program credit cards. I make some payments using credit cards (like web hosting) anyway, so I should get something out of it.

Thanks for the welcome! I do all of my purchases on credit cards that have some type of reward program. Some are cash back, and some are reward points. Always nice to get a little kickback for using their card

That sounds *really* low to me. |
Ok, so that wasn't just me who felt that way. _________________ Online Finance Education :: College Degrees |

For the purposes of comparison, I recently got a new credit card. With it, I earn 1.5 air miles for every £1 I spend. In addition to that (and this is what attracted me), I get 20,000 air miles if I spend £250 on the card in the first 3 months. This, of course, is easy to do.

So, that's about a mile for every dollar. That sounds about right ... _________________ Online Finance Education :: College Degrees |

I guess it depends on how much each mile buys you in rewards. I can get a flight for as little 500 air miles here in Canada.

Huh... ? I don't get that.
Isn't 1 mile in Canada the same as it is in the US or Europe...? I'm confused... |
