From the BBC...
| Quote: |
Sub-prime mortgages are set to grow faster than mainstream mortgages, independent market analyst Datamonitor has said.
The group said that by 2011, the marketplace would reach £31.5bn, compared with £24.6bn in 2006.
Sub-prime mortgages are those sold to people with poor credit histories and thus a greater chance of defaulting. |
Sounds ominous...
Isn't it irresponsible to loan these people money? _________________ Business Forums - Business Add URL

| It's a huge problem here in America and to see it is being shipped overseas is just an ominous sign of things to come. |

And yet house prices continue to soar, and the predictions I was reading yesterday say this will continue unabated due to a shortage of homes. Personally, I just don't see that happening. _________________ Business Forums - Business Add URL

| Well now we are seeing this take it's tool on the markets in general with the Fed stepping in to infuse the economy with radically low ineterest rates and billions upon billions of dollars made available to lenders. |
