Hmm, this is a good question. Although i dont know what the exact savings may be i think it will be a two qay street.
From my understanding Hybrid cars at the moment still cost more then a equivelent normal car. This being said if you are looking at Hybrid cars you are probably more concerned with environment and ongoing savings then up front savings.
The savings that you will achive are going to be more and more each month, with rising petrol prices and such it is just going to get more and more expensive to run a car and hybric cars can help save this a bit i think. I should think that some governments would even be considering rebates for using cars such as this like they offer to home owners that use natural energy sources. They may cost more up front but the savings in the long run will make it worth while i beleive. _________________ Joel Brown - Manager - Orion Networks

Sales of bigger cars like SUV are down, and smaller cars are selling much better. Apparently, most buyers do their home work, i.e., calculate how much gas they can save, before they go see a dealer. So, I was wondering if saving you can make by switching to hybrid is becoming a common knowledge. _________________ Online Finance Education :: College Degrees |

I think that the biggest problem is even though people may be calculating the difference it jjust isnt as easy as doing that. It is definetly going to go a little towards it but i know for a fact that depending on the style of my driving in any given week fuel usuage can be between 8L/100KM to 12L/100KM, This is on a V6 Sedan.
And although the price of petrol will be making some difference now days i think the biggest change it may see is less people buying diesel powered SUV/4WD and going for the Unleaded petrol cars the difference in price can be up to 10-12cents per litre in Australia at the moment. _________________ Joel Brown - Manager - Orion Networks

Ok, you're right. But would you say that switching to hybrid does save a lot of gas? Or not? _________________ Online Finance Education :: College Degrees |
