I still stick to the statement I have made in other posts on this forum .. Credit cards are a nightmare full stop. If you have one, then my advice is skint yourself as much as posible to pay it off, snap the card into as many peices as you can manage, then throw away any mail that comes to your address with an APR on it |
I often think that we're all better off without credit cards, but the society is already structured so that you kind of need to have one or three. Credit score is a critical score to have today, and you kind of have to have a credit card or three and use them in order to improve your credit score. _________________ Online Finance Education :: College Degrees |

Having said that, I tend to by items on interest free credit, when I already have to cash to buy it ... Then pay for it a few month later. This in itself is lending and therefore improves your credit score. I do however agree that a credit card it the best way to do this, however unless you are very strict with yourself, most people destroy there rating by missing payments/defaulting etc _________________

This is when you want to schedule payments so that you won't be missing any. Missing just one payment affects your rating very very negatively. _________________ Online Finance Education :: College Degrees |

my fiance finally paid off one of her 3 cc -- don't ever put yourself in a hole with credit -- it is so hard to dig yourself out _________________ Celebridiot.com - Ultimate Celebrity Gossip |

Credit card to some people is like alcohol to alcoholics; they should never touch it. I'm afraid that there are quite a few people like that. _________________ Online Finance Education :: College Degrees |

| I pay my bill off in full, every month. I don't buy things if I know I won't be able to pay it off at the end of the month. |
