Has anyone here ever tried this?

I imagine you can do quite well from it, but personally I would worry about being caught out with deadlines...

Yes, that's it. Basically taking advantage of cards that offer 0% borrowing for a fixed period of time.

Call me old fashion or conservative or whatever you'd like. I'm just not too crazy about using credit cards more than necessary. I'd really like to use credit cards when I need to.

It's not really about spending money that you don't need to. It's about transferring any debts that you happen to have on your cards, from one credit card company to another.

So, instead of paying off the card, you transfer the debt to somewhere that is interest free, and the money that you would spent to pay off the debt is instead kept in a high interest account.
