| Here in America finance is not taught in school and it should be. Too often financial education is left to self discovery. As kids graduate college with enormous debt it behooves us to give them a solid foundation in financial understanding. |

That's the same in the UK. I am on a road of self-discovery myself at present. I'm enjoying finding out for myself but I can't help but think that if I had at least a basic grounding from my school days, that I would be better placed to add to my knowledge now.
