Those of you that dabble in shares... what resources do you use to determine which companies you invest in?

Google Finance, Yahoo Finance mostly

As for what companies do I start to look at in the first place I spend some time on the business channel and listen to some of the companies that they are recommending. If I hear something in the sector that I am interested in looking into I add it to my list to do the research on.

The show that I have been watching lately is Mad Money, however if you can't stand to listen to Cramer, Seeking Alpha has a feed where they summarize all of his picks.[/url]

I must admit I like the graphs on Google Finance. Unfortunately, though, its coverage of UK shares is a little limited.

The same can be said for Canadian companies.

However they are getting better.

When I do buy shares I buy only "value" shares for long term. I usually only dabble in blue chips since I don't have a lot of money to risk, and blue chips are MUCH more stable.
