It's not very in-depth so I don't know if it can be classed as philosophical but....

Don't spend what you don't have.

Very simple but surprisingly far too overlooked IMO.

Yeah I suppose that is very true, I see it on TV all of the time, people getting in CC debt for no really good reason

But what I am really wondering is what people do to get ahead. Are they more the type to try to cut expenses to the max and live frugal? Or do you simply take the route of trying to earn more

Do you pay off your loans first and then save, or vise versa?
