I try to be....
I don't buy things that I don't feel that I need, I only eat out once a week and I try to fix instead of buy new, although that is getting harder and harder.
Check out http://www.getrichslowly.org/blog/, it is a great blog for frugal tips, if you happen not ot be frugal and want to be _________________ HoserNews |

I'm really not frugal, just very disciplined. Probably the most frugal I am is with my clothes. My wife has to get me new ones. _________________ 24HourStaff |

LOL... I'm like that with clothes. I really don't care that much for keeping up with fashion, and I'll gladly wear the same thing for days on end. I just don't see the point in spending silly amounts on the latest fashions. _________________ Business Forums - Business Add URL

Me too! I refuse to create a giant amount of laundry so I often wear the same jeans two days in a row if they are not dirty and I am just hanging around, doing tasks, etc. I also refuse to spend a lot of money on clothes. No one gives a damn what clothes I wear, I've realized. If I want to impress I can get dressed up, no prob, but 99% of the time, Old Navy for me! _________________ 24HourStaff |

I think that it is a guy thing. I usually have to wear out what I am wearing to the point that someone makes a comment before I get new stuff.
Pants are the worst, I have odd legs, almost like Popeye's arms _________________ HoserNews |

when it comes to frugal in life, i am not of that kind. Yes,i don't spend that much money but i am not stingy.It is a necessity to save for the future rather than stare at the wall in future.

No. I tend to live for today. If i want something I buy it. I do not spend time trying to find a product that is 1-2 pounds cheaper. I just buy it as i would rather spend my time doing something else. I may know that the shop ten minutes down the road is a fraction cheaper but if i am in a shop already i will simply buy it there. _________________ Company Registration Business Advice

If I want to impress, I get undressed.

Are you frugal?
What's the most frugal thing you'd say you've ever done? |
Even though I am not sure whether I am, I am trying my best and I think it is really working for me. I pay my bills on time, cut unnecessary spending, maintain a budget, trying to save and invest whenever possible and many other things the rest do. Ah call me stingy, I read this article once about making do with food left overs and tried out a few recipes rather than spending big money on puddings. Here's what I did;
Crumble leftover cookies, angle food cake, pound cake or brownies in a pie pan. Spoon vanilla ice cream on tip. Spread on a thin layer of strawberry jam and cover that with chocolate and butterscotch ice cream topping. Freeze and serve for dessert.
Let me know what you think. _________________ Personal Finance Newsletter |
